My old AM Radio bandmate Bryce Soderberg laid down some groovy bass last week.

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!! Thank you God for sending your only son! I am playing some Christmas songs today with the youth praise band at Newsong Church in Sylmar.

I knocked out all the vocals to "Rise" last Tuesday. Matt did some fine producing. (i.e. dude, that sounds bad, sing that line again. hehe) Next up: Brycerooni on the bass and then Matt Fuller with the finishing touches.

 

 

Drums and some of the guitars are done! Thanks to Frank Reina for his awesome beats and I reunited with my old Peel bandmate Dan Formica. Vocals next Monday.

I'm recording my new song "Rise" with my buddy Matt Corey at his new home studio. He just demo'd up the rough. More to come.

In October I start recording a few new tunes with my buddy Matt Corey at his new studio.

We've been slowly recording a self produced 4 song demo over the course this year to try and capture the live energy of this band. Last month Vince shredded out all the lead guitars. And just yesterday Juan and I braved the 100 degree Norco weather to finish all the lead vocals. Next up: vocal harmonies, courtesy of Juan and Paul; then mixing and mastering.

At rehearsal afterwards, Vince busted us all staring at his incredible guitar solo for "Moonlit Night". We always do, but he never catches us. hehe

The "Up Up And Away" single (with artwork by Kinoko-chan) is now available for digital download!

I got raw in the studio last night with Matt and Jim from Vinyl Candy, cutting all the vocals to "Up Up And Away". The song should be mixed and mastered by next weekend.

       

In other news... Juan, Paul, Vince and I have decided to call ourselves THE SUNFISH and have started filling up the spring/summer with shows. See Calendar.

I just started recording my new song "Up Up And Away" with the Vinyl Candy guys.

This month Vince, Juan, Paul and I will be recording demos of some new(er) songs: "I COULD GIVE YOU LOVE", "POWER AND THE GLORY" & "MOONLIT NIGHT".

The Cat Club show was fun! Video clips will be posted very soon. 

I just wrote my first song for my daughter Reina entitled, "I Could Give You Love". It clicked immediately when we jammed it at rehearsal. We will be premiering that song (along with Ridel High and AM Radio songs) at our upcoming show at The Cat Club on the 26th. See Calendar page.

Mikiko (my wife) and my 1st child Reina Minori Ridel was born Monday, January 10th at 9:18pm. The Lord has truly blessed us!

Vince Phung is now playing guitar with us. He is the "icing on the cake". We just need to come up with a band name and start booking some shows.

"Light" is in the final stages of being mixed.
